Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking an AI/ML Engineer III to build ML models, implement training workflows, and support production AI capabilities. You will collaborate with engineering and product partners in a flexible hybrid environment across core locations.

Required are a Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field, 5+ years of AI/ML experience, and strong Python skills with ML libraries. The role is based in Salisbury, NC (also Chicago, IL or Quincy, MA) with 3 in-person days and 2 remote days.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a quantitative field; equivalent advanced experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of AI/ML engineering experience.
• Strong Python and ML libraries experience.
• Understanding of deep learning and generative AI fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop, test, and deploy ML models.
• Support feature engineering, data preprocessing, and model evaluation.
• Assist in developing automated ML training and monitoring pipelines.
• Collaborate with engineering and product partners to refine AI solution requirements.
• Research tools and methods to enhance model performance.
• May be called upon to support critical escalations and must be available during urgent IT incidents as needed.
