Job summary

General Motors seeks a Senior Software Engineer on the SimCore team to build and deploy applied AI/ML solutions that support simulation workflows, internal tools, and critical engineering use cases. You will work across simulation, scenario-generation, data, and engineering teams to deliver high-value AI solutions that meet business objectives.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required, PhD preferred in CS, Robotics, EE, or related fields.
• 5+ years of applied ML/AI engineering with 2+ years delivering production AI systems at scale.
• Knowledge of VLM and ML world modeling from sensor-to-sensor and 3D.
• Deep knowledge of modern multimodal or 3D computer vision pipelines (e.g., NeRF, diffusion).
• Strong Python skills and experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenAI APIs, HuggingFace, gsplat.
• Solid ML fundamentals: data preprocessing, training pipelines, metrics, optimization.
• Ability to move between research exploration and practical engineering.
• Proven ability to lead projects end-to-end with minimal guidance.
