Job summary

Peraton is seeking a cleared Next-Gen AI/ML Systems Engineer in Reston, VA, to advance data fusion and sense-making capabilities across national security missions. The role is on-site with flexibility to travel to customer sites for classified and non-classified work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years with BS/BA or 3+ with MS/MA or 1+ PhD in related field.
• Must hold Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Experience with AI/ML data fusion, integration or analytics across multiple modalities.
• Hands-on AI testing, validation and evaluation methodologies.
• Broad AI know-how: supervised/unsupervised learning, NLP, CV, foundation models.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI-enabled data fusion solution design for multi-source intelligence.
• Develop AI/ML architectures for data management and sense-making.
• Establish AI testing and validation frameworks ensuring reliability and explainability.
• Maintain awareness of AI landscape and translate capabilities to mission use.
• Create AI adoption roadmaps considering data maturity and change management.
• Collaborate with BD, capture teams, and program managers on AI opportunities.
• Infuse programs with AI capabilities while respecting security constraints.
• Mentor staff on AI/ML fundamentals, testing practices, and strategies.
