Job summary

Medallia is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to lead migration of our AI Platform to AWS GovCloud, delivering enterprise-grade AI capabilities for government and enterprise customers. The role requires US citizenship and offers hybrid work with 3 days onsite in Tysons area.

You will architect and develop building blocks for next-generation AI products, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure security, scalability, and performance across national boundaries.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of production software development (Python/Java/Scala).
• Experience deploying on Kubernetes in regulated environments.
• Experience with distributed systems: Spark, Hadoop, Kafka.
• Relational SQL experience, Postgres preferred.
• Code quality and testing on large codebases.

Responsibilities

• Lead migration of AI/ML platform to AWS GovCloud with security and compliance.
• Design cloud-native ML infra on AWS (SageMaker, ECS/EKS, Lambda).
• Monitor and optimize models and ML pipelines in GovCloud.
• Build secure data pipelines across borders meeting FedRAMP.
• Collaborate with product/design to deliver AI features for CX.
• Architect scalable data processing solutions for clients.
• Design APIs powering front-end apps.
• Participate in on-call rotations for platform reliability.
