Job summary

Relativity is seeking a Senior Counsel for AI & Legal Technology to advise on AI, product development, and legal tech. You will partner with Engineering, Product, and Sales to enable rapid, compliant growth and negotiate terms with vendors.

The role reports to the General Counsel and focuses on interpreting AI regulation, drafting policies, and guiding go-to-market strategies while balancing risk and business needs.

Qualifications

• Six+ years of in-house or law firm experience in technology initiatives.
• Experience with software development and OSI license compliance.
• Marketing law knowledge including FTC/state laws.
• Strong understanding of cloud services, software licensing, privacy, IP, and regulatory issues.
• Experience advising AI-enabled products and legal tech.
• Excellent organizational and communications skills.
• Proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
• Deep knowledge of AI regulatory landscape (EU/US).

Responsibilities

• Lead legal advice for enterprise AI, product development, marketing and tech.
• Provide strategic legal guidance on commercial and operational issues.
• Advise on customer/vendor terms and contract language.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, Partner, and Strategy.
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and compliance.
• Work with AI tools and legal tech to drive outcomes.
• Explain complex legal concepts to non-lawyers clearly.
