Job summary

LanceDB Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Product Marketing Manager to own the technical content, demos, and competitive work behind our go-to-market.

You will ensure real proof backs marketing claims for AI researchers and platform engineers, collaborating with PMM, DevRel, Engineering, and Sales to evolve our GTM motion. You’ll build working demos, host a biweekly product update video with live demos, and translate deep technical results into market-ready stories for a skeptical audience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years marketing infrastructure or developer products to technical practitioners in product marketing, technical marketing, developer relations, solutions architecture, or an adjacent technical GTM role.
• Hands-on technical ability. You write Python, work comfortably in notebooks, and can build a working demo on an unfamiliar system without help.
• Comfortable on camera and able to carry a recurring video series with minimal support.
• Depth in AI/ML infrastructure, data infrastructure, databases, or developer tools.
• Demonstrated competitive marketing chops: you've built the competitive picture for a technical product and turned it into enablement.
• A strong writer who can go deep without padding.
• Proven ability to own work end to end without a team to support you.
• Strong analytic instincts, with the ability to use data to draw conclusions.
• You use AI thoughtfully as a marketer, iterating on how it can improve your work.
• Excellent communicator who can partner with founders, engineers, and GTM leadership.
• Bonus points for: background as an engineer, researcher, solutions architect, or developer advocate before marketing.

Responsibilities

• Own technical proof surface for LanceDB, including benchmarks, reference architectures, technical deep dives, and comparisons.
• Build hands-on working demos and ship them as content, conference material, and sales assets.
• Write, host, and ship biweekly product update videos with live demos.
• Partner with Engineering on deeper technical work, framing questions a benchmark should answer.
• Build customer- and partner-based proof points, including reference architectures and joint content.
• Own competitive intelligence end to end; turn learnings into battlecards and battle content.
• Build the technical half of sales enablement: demo scripts, discovery questions, and competitive training.
• Ground decisions in customer conversations, user research, and open-source/community activity.
• Partner with Marketing on launches, campaigns, and events, providing technical depth.
