Job summary
Tencent Americas is seeking a Senior AI Infrastructure Engineer to own end-to-end AI infrastructure deployments, from data center due diligence to ongoing production operations. You will bridge internal teams and external partners to ensure on-time, to-spec delivery at scale, while providing technical leadership and mentorship.
Ideal candidates have 5+ years in data center infrastructure, strong Linux expertise, and hands-on experience with cluster orchestration tools like Slurm and Kubernetes,
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years in data center infrastructure, deployment, or operations.
- Solid understanding of high-performance compute hardware, networking, storage, and power/cooling.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site data center assessments to evaluate AI infrastructure readiness.
- Review and validate infrastructure designs, identify risks and trade-offs.
- Coordinate with external partners to meet timelines and requirements.
- Translate requirements into technical specifications for delivery.
- Own day-2 operations: monitoring, incident response, capacity checks, hardware lifecycle management.
