Tencent America LLC is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Intern to join the AI Compute team in Palo Alto, CA. You will help operate AI infrastructure, collaborating with internal and external partners and gaining hands-on experience in cutting‑edge systems.

You will work on deploying and maintaining high‑performing infrastructure, assist with diagnostics and firmware updates, and document incidents to improve future solutions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's in computer engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with server hardware, Linux environments, and security basics.
• Experience with Bash or Python scripting.
• Interest in CI/CD, configuration management, workload managers, and cluster software (Slurm, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Fluency in English; Mandarin strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Support deployment, configuration, and maintenance of high‑performance AI infrastructure servers and storage.
• Assist with hardware diagnostics, firmware updates, and system checks.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver tailored environments (bare‑metal, Kubernetes, Slurm).
• Provide first‑line engineering support for onsite issues (hardware, network, software).
• Document incidents, resolutions, and lessons learned for knowledge sharing.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation to support the team.
