Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking a Senior Manager of AI Standards, Controls & Responsible AI to build governance foundations enabling scalable, responsible end-user AI across Operations. You will shape standards, reporting, and decision frameworks while aligning with enterprise policy and risk requirements.

You will partner across Operations, AI product teams, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and control functions to ensure accountable and transparent AI usage, balancing innovation with risk

Qualifications

• Knowledge of end-user AI tools, AI governance, and responsible AI principles.
• Ability to translate policy and control requirements into guidance and playbooks.
• Experience building governance forums, reporting, and risk frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and operationalize AI standards, guardrails, and lifecycle requirements for end-user AI across Operations.
• Translate policies and control requirements into clear guidance and playbooks.
• Create scalable intake, review, and documentation processes for responsible AI progress.
• Build AI governance reporting and visibility for leaders on use cases, ownership, and risk.
• Develop risk assessment frameworks for AI use cases with incomplete information.
• Establish governance forums, escalation paths, and remediation practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align requirements and resolve dependencies.
• Communicate complex governance concepts clearly to business users and leaders.
