Job summary

Qualifications

• 8+ years in risk/compliance/AI fields, incl. at least 2 years on AI systems.
• Experience leading applied research programs in Responsible AI and AI safety.
• Ability to analyze how AI affects people, workflows, clients, and decisions.
• 3+ years building AI risk management frameworks with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of modern AI systems including generative and agentic AI.

Responsibilities

• Lead the vision and implementation of Schwab's responsible AI program.
• Develop frameworks combining automated evaluations with human review.
• Partner with legal, risk, compliance, product, and engineering to embed practices.
• Translate AI risks and regulatory expectations into practical guidance for teams.
• Drive governance and repeatable processes for responsible AI at scale.
