Job summary

Bloomberg Industry Group in Arlington, VA, seeks a seasoned AI Governance and Risk Management lead to drive governance, risk assessments, policy development, and compliance monitoring across products, platforms, and third-party solutions.

The role partners with Risk Advisory, Engineering, Legal, and Product teams to coordinate reviews, track risk indicators, and report to senior leadership. Requires 7+ years in risk operations and 3+ years in AI governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years' related experience in risk operations, technology risk, program management, governance, compliance operations, audit support, business operations, or project management.
• 3+ years’ experience in AI Governance, AI Risk Management, responsible AI, AI/ML risk, technology risk, data governance, data risk, security risk, model risk, or product risk.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools and platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Google Gemini, or comparable enterprise AI tools.
• Experience supporting AI risk assessments, control reviews, policy implementation, issue tracking, or governance processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations for AI risk governance processes, including intake, tracking, workflow management, and reporting.
• Develop AI policies, standards, procedures, guidelines, playbooks, templates, and controls for multiple platforms.
• Support AI governance forums, working groups, and review processes with agenda development and follow-ups.
• Help ensure AI use cases move through governance processes in a timely, consistent, well-documented manner.
• Partner with Risk Advisory, Engineering, Product, Legal, and other teams to coordinate reviews.
• Track dependencies and escalate overdue items or blocking reviews.
• Identify process gaps and opportunities to automate program operations.
• Develop dashboards and metrics to measure program health and risk trends.
• Prepare regular reporting for AI risk governance forums and management updates.
• Escalate complex issues to senior AI risk leadership and governance forums.
• Support training and awareness activities with materials and attendance tracking.
• Collaborate to ensure continued policy and security standard compliance.
• Monitor AI regulatory developments and incorporate into program materials.
• Assist in audit readiness for ISO and related frameworks.
