Job summary

OneTrust seeks a Senior Staff Software Engineer to lead AI Governance platform design and delivery in Atlanta, GA. You will own architecture for secure, scalable, and observable systems handling AI workloads and governance data.

You will collaborate across teams to build reusable dashboards, event-driven pipelines, and multi-tenant SaaS capabilities, with a strong emphasis on quality, security, and production readiness.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional software engineering and development experience.
• Strong expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring, Python, design patterns, microservices, and cloud-native distributed systems.
• Proven experience leading reusable platform, reporting, analytics, or data products that support multiple teams or dashboards.
• Hands-on experience with Cube.js, semantic layers, metric layers, or comparable metric/query abstraction systems.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Flink for real‑time stream processing.
• Experience designing event‑driven services and data-ingestion pipelines using Kafka, including SQL/NoSQL integrations.
• Experience building secure, multi-tenant SaaS platforms with tenant isolation and secure service‑to‑service communication.
• Experience with AI/LLM platforms and production AI workloads, including model orchestration and observability.
• CI/CD, automated testing, production monitoring, incident response, and Agile practices.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, Google Cloud; Kubernetes familiarity is highly desirable.
• Ability to lead multi‑quarter roadmaps and align cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of Java/Python microservices and shared libraries integrating with AI platforms.
• Design, build, and test cloud-native applications deployed on Microsoft Azure using Core Java, REST, and Spring.
• Lead the architecture and development of reusable AIG reporting and dashboard capabilities with data from SQL and analytics platforms.
• Design reusable semantic-layer and metric-abstraction capabilities including dataset contracts and pre-aggregation.
• Lead event-driven integrations using Kafka and Apache Flink for observability datasets and derived metrics.
• Integrate with the AI Observability platform through APIs and data contracts for metrics, logs, and evidence.
• Own technical design for scalable, secure, and reliable systems; mentor engineers and drive architecture discussions.
• Partner with frontend engineers to build dashboard shells, visualization components, and data tables.
• Maintain strong automated unit and integration test coverage and contribute to sprint planning.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, and Customer Success to align on governance use cases and platform priorities.
