Docker is seeking a senior backend engineer to own production-grade systems powering the AI Gateway, model router, and control plane. You will set technical direction, identify architectural gaps, and drive end-to-end delivery with leadership and cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience with production-scale systems.
• Deep specialization in distributed systems, cloud-native infra, and APIs.
• Fluency in Go and/or Rust and security‑minded design.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for core systems powering the AI Gateway and control plane.
• Identify gaps and drive fixes from idea to production.
• Mentor engineers and shape the team's technical bar.
• Partner with product, design, and leadership to guide future roadmap.
