Job summary

SFL Scientific, a Deloitte Business, is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join a data-driven team delivering AI infrastructure and deployment services for cutting-edge machine learning applications.

You will collaborate with data scientists and engineers, design scalable cloud and on‑prem architectures, lead technical projects, and mentor junior staff while upholding best practices in security and reliability. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, etc.) or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in data engineering, data science, software engineering or MLOps focused on AI deployment.
• 4+ years designing cloud solutions with hands-on AWS/Azure/GCP experience.
• 2+ years leading technical delivery teams and complex projects.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
• Knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL/Neo4j) and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to design, develop, and deploy new architectures to support ML and automation applications.
• Leverage modern data architecture and data transformation across cloud/on-prem environments.
• Design scalable data architectures supporting AI and GenAI use cases.
• Support data pipelines, schemas, and deployment strategies for scalable solutions.
• Lead architectural discussions for security, availability, and scale in cloud or on‑prem.
• Adopt best engineering practices in AI infrastructure and devops workflows.
• Lead proof-of-concept initiatives for new data and cloud technologies.
• Demonstrate leadership and high-standard execution in data architecture principles.
