Job summary

First Advantage is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join an international, cross-functional team building AI-driven solutions for background screening. You’ll split your time between delivering new products and supporting production workloads that our customers depend on.

You will work in a Scrum team on new products, develop and productionize ML models, build secure data pipelines, and ensure high-quality, compliant, secure AI solutions for real-world screening challenges.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience across software engineering, AI, and machine learning.
• Strong programming skills in Python, including production ML work with frameworks such as TensorFlow.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and PySpark for building and scaling data pipelines.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing relational data.
• Experience building and serving models as APIs (e.g., FastAPI), with attention to latency, throughput, and cost.
• Practical experience with LLM APIs, RAG, OCR, and document recognition/NLP techniques.
• A solid grasp of MLOps practices, including automated training and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Work within a Scrum team on new products and initiatives, from design through delivery.
• Provide dedicated support for existing production AI/ML workloads, ensuring reliability, performance, and continuity.
• Build secure, well-optimized solutions using modern AI tooling.
• Develop and productionize ML models, and design end-to-end testing strategies to hold delivered solutions to a high quality bar.
• Deliver API integrations and data pipelines, optimizing for latency, throughput, and cost.
• Partner with Product, Infrastructure, and other departments on planning and execution.
• Ensure solutions meet the highest standards for security, compliance, and data governance.
