Job summary

Alight Solutions seeks an experienced AI engineer to design, develop, and deploy ML models and AI applications that improve employee experiences and drive business outcomes. You will build search and chat features powered by agentic AI, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile, global environment.

The role emphasizes experimentation to evaluate model performance, staying current with new tools, and communicating complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Data Science/Math/Engineering or related field.
• Experience with Python or Spark (Scala/Spark or PySpark) and ML libraries TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch.
• Experience with data preparation and data engineering tasks (data cleaning, feature engineering, data transformation).
• Knowledge of CNNs, RNNs, and reinforcement learning.
• Familiarity with AWS data tools (SageMaker, Glue, Lambdas).
• Experience in Agile and DevOps development process.
• Clear communication of complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• US Citizenship to manage services for federal government or contractors, proof at hire.
• Familiarity with Git, JIRA, Artifactory, CI/CD tools like Jenkins.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy ML models and AI applications to solve business problems.
• Design and develop search and chat applications using agentic AI.
• Create AI pathing for Alight engineering organization.
• Experiment to evaluate model performance and interpret results to improve models.
• Stay up to date with new tools and technologies and assess their impact.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to tune algorithms for business needs and explain concepts to business partners.
• Collaborate on a high-performing, agile team with a global presence.
