Job summary

Precise Software Solutions, Inc. seeks a Senior AI Engineer to deliver secure, AI-enabled government solutions from Washington, DC.

You will lead LLM/RAG implementations, model evaluation, and adversarial testing, working with the core engineering team to meet architecture standards and production readiness. The role requires deep Python expertise, hands-on AI/ML experience, familiarity with FedRAMP/NIST controls, WCAG accessibility, and a track record of delivering production-grade AI systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, or a related technical discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and deploy AI-enabled applications and services, including LLM integrations, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, embeddings, vector search, and agentic workflows.
• Implement model evaluation, hallucination reduction, retrieval quality tuning, and performance optimization, and provide side-by-side model comparisons for major model or retrieval changes.
• Lead AI-specific security and adversarial testing before releases, and document and mitigate findings.
• Enforce environment promotion controls (DEV to PROD), including security scans, testing, and TEVV gates.
• Support MLOps workflows, including model versioning, drift detection, retraining, and release documentation.
• Serve as a Tier 2/Tier 3 escalation resource for production AI issues, and support incident response and root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to engineering deliverables such as RAG pipeline designs, AI system test plans, adversarial testing reports, SBOMs, and environment configuration baselines.
• Conduct code and prompt reviews and mentor developers, applying the architecture standards set by the Lead AI Engineer.
