Job summary

Precise Software Solutions, Inc. seeks a Senior AI Engineer to deliver secure AI-enabled applications for U.S. Government programs. You will design, implement, and tune LLM, RAG, and agentic workflows, lead adversarial testing, and support release validation.

The role requires on-site work 3x per week in the Washington, DC area, U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, and ability to obtain a NACI background investigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/CS or related field with 5+ years' experience; 3 additional years may substitute for degree.
• 5+ years hands-on AI/ML engineering, AI-enabled apps, data/cloud/software engineering.
• 1+ year Generative AI, LLM integration, RAG, agentic AI, or production AI systems.
• Strong Python skills; experience building AI-enabled APIs/services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy AI-enabled apps including LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector search, and agentic workflows.
• Lead model evaluation, hallucination reduction, retrieval quality tuning, and side-by-side comparisons.
• Conduct adversarial testing and document mitigations; ensure secure releases.
• Support MLOps: model versioning, drift detection, retraining, release docs.
• Provide Tier 2/3 escalation support for production AI issues and incident response.
• Mentor developers and perform code/prompt reviews; adhere to architecture standards.
