Niuro is hiring a Senior AI Engineer for a US tax software company. This is a full‑time contractor role, 100% remote from Latin America, paid in USD.

You will design and scale AI systems, debug production LLMs, and expose capabilities via REST APIs and backend services, with deployment on AWS or Azure.

Must‑have: 5+ years in software/AI engineering; strong Python with FastAPI; production experience with OpenAI/Azure OpenAI; APIs, microservices, CI/CD and IaC; C1 English.

• 5+ years of software or AI engineering experience.
• Strong Python with FastAPI or an equivalent framework.
• Production experience with LLM platforms (OpenAI, Anthropic, Bedrock or Azure OpenAI).
• APIs, microservices, CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
• Hands-on experience debugging, stabilizing and scaling AI systems in production.
• Fluent English (C1) written and spoken.

• Integrate AI capabilities through REST APIs and backend services

• Deploy, monitor and operate AI services on AWS or Azure with CI/CD and infrastructure as code

• Work with engineering, product and leadership to pay down technical debt and explain trade-offs clearly

Must-have

• 5+ years in software or AI engineering

• Strong Python with FastAPI or an equivalent framework

• Production experience with LLM platforms (OpenAI, Anthropic, Amazon Bedrock or Azure OpenAI)

• APIs, microservices, CI/CD and infrastructure as code

• Hands-on experience debugging, stabilizing and scaling AI systems in production
