Niuro, a fintech lending company, seeks a Senior AI Engineer to own AI systems turning messy financial data into trustworthy structured data and to automate underwriting, collections, and support workflows with human oversight where needed.

You will work with underwriters and users, building production Python/SQL software and leveraging LLMs and cloud platforms to drive measurable business impact. Spanish & English required.

Formación

• Proven experience building and operating production software in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on work with LLMs and structured-output tools (Claude, GPT, Gemini, etc.).
• Shipped AI systems used by real users with documented effectiveness.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (BigQuery, Azure, Databricks).
• Ability to measure business outcomes and communicate uncertainty.

Responsabilidades

Niuro is hiring a Senior AI Engineer for a fintech lending company. You will own AI systems that turn messy financial data and documents into trustworthy structured data and automate underwriting, collections and support. Spanish and English required.

What you will do

• Own AI systems through design, build, deployment, monitoring and improvement.

• Turn messy financial data and documents into trustworthy structured data.

• Automate underwriting, collections and support workflows, keeping human judgment where it matters.

• Decide what needs a model and what needs plain code; keep systems simple.

• Measure business impact, investigate failures and keep production reliable and secure.

• Work directly with underwriters and other users.

What you bring

• Built and operated production software, mostly Python and SQL; still writes code every week.

• Builds with LLMs and structured-output tools (Claude, GPT, Gemini, BAML): tool use, evaluation, cost control.

• Shipped AI systems used by real users and can show how effectiveness was verified.

• Cloud data platforms such as BigQuery, Azure or Databricks.

• Measures business outcomes and communicates uncertainty.

• Clear spoken and written Spanish and English (C1).

Nice to have: NLP, document processing, OCR, entity extraction, retrieval, open banking, payments.
