Job summary

Niuro, a fintech lending company, seeks a Senior AI Engineer to own AI systems turning messy financial data into trustworthy structured data and to automate underwriting, collections, and support workflows with human oversight where needed.

You will work with underwriters and users, building production Python/SQL software and leveraging LLMs and cloud platforms to drive measurable business impact. Spanish & English required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and operating production software in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on work with LLMs and structured-output tools (Claude, GPT, Gemini, etc.).
• Shipped AI systems used by real users with documented effectiveness.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (BigQuery, Azure, Databricks).
• Ability to measure business outcomes and communicate uncertainty.

Responsibilities

• Own AI systems from design to deployment, monitoring and improvement.
• Turn messy financial data and documents into structured data.
• Automate underwriting, collections and support workflows with human oversight.
• Decide what requires a model vs. code to keep systems simple.
• Measure business impact, investigate failures and keep production reliable and secure.
• Collaborate directly with underwriters and other users.
