Job summary

Medline seeks a Senior AI Engineer to hands-on build AI, analytics, and automation solutions embedded in a business domain. You will collaborate with business teams to translate workflows and pain points into proofs of concept, pilots, and production-ready solutions using Python, SQL, and AI tooling.

You will own outcomes, drive value realization, and ensure alignment with security, governance, and enterprise standards while scaling solutions across functions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of AI/ML engineering or related field experience.
• Proven track record delivering AI, analytics, or automation solutions used in business workflows.
• Experience turning concepts into proofs of concept, pilots, and MVPs.
• Experience working with business stakeholders to translate needs into practical solutions.
• Ability to move solutions from discovery to production with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Embed within a business domain to understand processes, workflows, systems, decisions, handoffs, and operating challenges.
• Build trusted relationships with business leaders and users; partner for AI/data/analytics/automation problem solving.
• Identify opportunities to improve decisions, productivity, customer experience, and performance.
• Shape and manage demand; focus teams on high-value opportunities.
• Design AI-enabled workflows, agents, copilots, retrieval-augmented generation solutions, analytics, and automation tools.
• Build proofs of concept, prototypes, pilots and MVPs using real data on approved platforms.
• Test with users, incorporate feedback, assess value, feasibility, controls, and scalability.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, governance and Responsible AI requirements.
