Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an experienced AI/Cloud Engineer to design, build, and deploy scalable GenAI solutions across AWS Bedrock and GCP Vertex AI. You will blend hands-on engineering with architecture leadership in a HIPAA-regulated setting.

You will collaborate with data scientists, clinicians, and IT, shaping roadmaps and delivering production-grade ML systems with secure data pipelines, model training, and governance. Join a team driving responsible AI in healthcare.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in large-scale software development.
• 5+ years solution architecture or system design.
• 5+ years building large-scale microservices/APIs using Node.js.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with GCP and AWS (serverless, event-driven, AI/ML).
• AWS Bedrock or GCP Vertex AI or similar technologies.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Strong experience with Python for AI/ML engineering.
• Production experience with agentic AI frameworks, RAG architectures and vector databases, serverless and event-driven designs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operationalize scalable, secure, and responsible Generative AI solutions across the affiliate line of business.
• Lead ML model development, evaluation, and production deployment across cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with data scientists, clinicians, and IT to align projects with business goals.
• Develop data pipelines, preprocessing, feature engineering, and model training.
• Mentor engineers and contribute reusable patterns and accelerators.
• Partner with product, engineering, data, security, and compliance teams on roadmaps and direction.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, data privacy, and security requirements.
• Drive performance metrics, testing, and monitoring for reliable AI solutions.
