Job summary

Popular is seeking an AI Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and maintain AI, ML, and Generative AI solutions for our financial services operations. You will join the AI Office and partner with Data & Analytics, Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, and other units to deliver secure, scalable AI capabilities.

You should have 5+ years in AI/ML, strong Python, cloud experience, and familiarity with CI/CD and MLOps. The role emphasizes governance, risk, and compliance in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field; Master's preferred.
• 5+ years in software or AI engineering with production AI/ML experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms and enterprise environments.
• Experience implementing CI/CD, DevOps, MLOps, and best practices.
• Experience in regulated industries (banking/financial services) preferred.
• Able to collaborate across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain AI/ML/Generative AI solutions for business objectives.
• Build scalable AI-enabled applications, APIs, and automation solutions.
• Develop reusable AI frameworks and reference architectures for enterprise adoption.
• Implement Generative AI with LLMs, RAG, and enterprise knowledge management.
• Ensure governance, security, and compliance across AI solutions.
• Collaborate with risk, compliance, legal, and product teams throughout lifecycle.
