Job summary

East West Bank is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, build, and operationalize enterprise AI across the bank. This hands-on leader will establish foundational AI capabilities, build scalable services, and guide a small AI engineering team.

You will collaborate with business, data, cybersecurity, risk, and compliance teams to meet regulatory requirements while delivering measurable improvements in efficiency and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/engineering.
• 10+ years in software/AI engineering and technology leadership.
• Proven experience delivering production AI solutions in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy enterprise AI and Generative AI applications for banking use cases.
• Architect LLM-enabled solutions including retrieval, vector search, and workflows.
• Build production-grade services using Python, FastAPI/Flask, and Azure/OpenAI.
• Lead cross-functional delivery, mentor engineers, and establish standards and governance.
