Job summary

Prologis is seeking a Senior AI Applied Engineer to explore and prototype emerging AI techniques, design hypothesis-driven pilots, evaluate results, and translate learnings into reference architectures. You will collaborate with AI platform and delivery teams to scale successful approaches and demonstrate business value through demos and concise readouts.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with production-quality systems.
• Expert Python skills including clean architecture, testing, packaging, and reliability.
• Strong AWS architecture and development experience (security/IAM, networking, serverless/containers, monitoring).
• Solid data foundations: SQL, data modeling, APIs/integration; familiarity with RAG and text-to-SQL patterns.
• Demonstrated rigor in experimentation: hypothesis-driven plans, metrics, timeboxing.
• Ability to communicate clearly to technical and business stakeholders; proven storytelling.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience designing and interpreting LLM evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Drive AI innovation and rapid experimentation to advance Prologis capabilities.
• Design and execute timeboxed pilots with clear hypotheses and success metrics.
• Evolve enterprise AI patterns (retrieval-augmented generation, text-to-SQL, observability).
• Build reference implementations and handoff docs for scalable architectures.
• Develop within AWS with secure, observable, cost-aware architectures and strong practices.
• Communicate results through demos and readouts linking outcomes to business value.
• Support priority projects with de-risking and acceleration through entry/exit criteria.
• Synthesize external research and vendor capabilities into actionable recommendations.
