Job summary

Prologis is seeking a Senior AI Applied Engineer in San Francisco to lead enterprise AI efforts, design hypothesis-driven pilots, and translate results into scalable architectures. You’ll work with the AI platform and delivery teams to implement robust, cost-conscious AWS-based solutions.

You will evaluate LLMs, build agentic workflows, and communicate findings with business value in mind. A strong background in Python, AWS, data modeling, and RAG-enabled patterns is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience delivering production-quality systems.
• Expert Python skills including testing and packaging.
• Strong AWS architecture and dev experience (IAM, networking, serverless/containers).
• Familiar with SQL, data modeling and APIs/integration patterns.

Responsibilities

• Drive AI innovation and rapid experimentation for Prologis capabilities.
• Design timeboxed pilots with clear hypotheses and success metrics.
• Evolve enterprise AI patterns (RAG, text-to-SQL, observability).
• Create reference implementations and handoff docs with the Central AI team.
