Job summary

Gravie is seeking an experienced software engineer to design and build production-grade AI agent systems that drive decision-support in healthcare and regulated environments. You will craft multi-agent workflows, retrieval and memory layers, and robust backend services, using Python and React/TypeScript to deliver user-friendly experiences.

The role emphasizes ownership from design through production, strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a focus on quality, security, and cost

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience from design to production.
• Hands-on experience building and operating production AI applications.
• Experience with agentic software development and AI coding agents.
• Deep expertise in Python backend and distributed systems or React/TS product engineering.
• Experience with retrieval/memory/evaluation/AI agent architectures and workflows.
• Strong judgment in testing, monitoring, privacy, security, and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Design and build production-grade AI agent systems, including multi-agent workflows and services.
• Design retrieval, context, and memory systems for grounded AI outputs.
• Develop AI-powered decision-support systems for healthcare/regulatory environments.
• Develop distributed backend services, event-driven workers, APIs, and relational data models.
• Build intuitive user experiences using React and TypeScript.
• Establish patterns for AI quality assurance, testing, and guardrails.
• Evaluate models for accuracy, latency, reliability, privacy and cost.
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering standards across the team.
