Job summary

PIMCO is seeking a senior strategist/analyst to lead AI-enabled transformation across the firm, collaborating with Portfolio Management, Legal, Client Management, HR, and Operations. You will map workflows, diagnose opportunities, and drive multi-domain change that improves efficiency and ROI.

The role requires 10+ years in Investment Management, strong executive communication, and a track record of influencing senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Investment Management industry experience.
• Proven track record leading technology-enabled change.
• Proven success influencing senior stakeholders and aligning crossfunctional leaders around tradeoffs, operating-model changes, and funding decisions.
• Strong judgment on build/buy/partner decisions and the ability to negotiate scope, SLAs, and success criteria with internal and external partners.
• Hands-on experience redesigning target operating models across different functions.
• Strong ability to quantify business value, productivity gains, efficiency improvements, cost savings, or client-experience enhancements to support ROI modeling.
• Experience orchestrating solutions that combine information extraction, workflow automation, decision engines, and insight generation into end-to-end business processes.
• Exceptional executive communication—briefs, frames decisions and risks, and writes clear, decision-ready materials.
• Ethical, curious, collaborative, organized, and self-starter with high energy.
• MBA or relevant master's preferred; Bachelor's in Finance, Economics, CS or technical field.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage transformational AI-enabled projects with broad firm impact.
• Map business and investment workflows across the firm.
• Apply diagnostic and prioritization frameworks to identify opportunities and ROI.
• Support IP leverage and scale-out of solutions across domains (legal, tax, onboarding, investment support).
• Collaborate with leaders to ensure scalability, effectiveness and deliverability within PIMCO’s ecosystem.
• Grow transformation capabilities through embedded partnerships with business units.
• Mentor junior Forward Deployed Engineers and Strategists in the team.
