Job summary

Mondo Robot, a Colorado-based design and development studio, seeks a Technical Director to lead engineering, AI tooling, and the OS powering projects for major brands. You’ll oversee architecture, strategy, and client relationships while staying hands-on with code when needed.

You’ll mentor a small engineering team, set engineering ladders, manage risk, and collaborate with product, design, strategy, and account teams to deliver high-quality digital experiences across client engagements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience building for the web.
• 3+ years managing engineers.
• Deep experience with composable, API-first architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and stack decisions across multiple concurrent projects.
• Mentor and grow a small engineering team; conduct regular 1:1s.
• Communicate roadmaps, progress, and risks to leadership and clients.
• Own the OS roadmap and AI-powered tooling strategy.
