Job summary

Code and Theory seeks a Director of Creative Technology to lead enterprise transformations by architecting scalable, AI-native visual production pipelines across 3D asset generation, motion design, and generative AI architectures.

You will lead cross-functional pods of creative technologists, set production engineering standards, and navigate high-stakes technical diplomacy with executive marketing, IT, and creative leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Creative Technology, 3D Pipeline Engineering, or Visual R&D leadership.
• Track record of architecting scriptable 3D and motion pipelines (Python, USD/glTF, Blender, After Effects).
• Expertise in enterprise generative architectures, hybrid render infrastructures (on-prem GPU vs. cloud API), and enterprise DAM integrations.
• Superior executive presence and technical diplomacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect enterprise visual automation systems connecting 3D DCC environments, motion graphics renderers, generative APIs, and client DAM platforms.
• Establish technical standards for local GPU compute vs. cloud API load balancing, render token efficiency, and failover architecture across global rollouts (30+ regional markets).
• Serve as the senior technical lead and creative diplomat in client engagements, building trust with executive stakeholders.
• Drive adoption of modern pipeline paradigms, including MCP-driven agentic workflows, custom node-graph architectures, and automated render pipelines.
