Expedia Group in Austin, TX, is seeking a Senior Software Developer for the Agentic AI experience team. You will design, build, and evolve AI-powered travel experiences that power millions of traveler and partner interactions.

The role emphasizes high-level design, cross-team collaboration, and driving continuous improvement with ML-driven systems, including human-in-the-loop workflows and retraining strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years (Bachelor's) or 6+ years (Master's) of professional software development experience.
• Experience leading architecture and high-level design for multi-service platforms.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java, Kotlin, C#, Python) and setting coding standards.
• Experience leading AI/ML adoption and integration across complex production systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead team-level design and development across the domain, driving high-level system design for complex cross-service dependencies.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and stakeholders to frame and solve complex business and technical challenges.
• Champion the adoption and integration of AI/ML capabilities across critical systems with human-in-the-loop workflows and retraining strategies.
• Drive operational excellence at domain scale, owning backlogs and reliability metrics; lead incident response.
• Influence domain direction, align technical priorities, and contribute to the domain technical vision.
• Develop engineering talent through mentorship, coaching, review, and knowledge sharing.
