Job summary

PlusAI, a Silicon Valley AI company, is seeking a Senior Simulation Software Engineer to scale its simulation infrastructure for autonomous trucks. You will architect AI-driven workflows and analyze large-scale simulation results to drive improvements in fidelity and validate autonomy.

You will collaborate with simulation, onboard, systems engineering, and data science teams to reproduce issues and design long-term system architecture, delivering high-impact user value.

Qualifications

• MS with 3+ years of relevant experience or PhD new grad in a related field.
• Experience building LLM-powered or agentic workflows for data analysis, evaluation, or automation.
• Experience quantifying or improving simulation fidelity / closing the sim-to-real gap (sensor modeling, actor behavior modeling, scenario generation).
• Proficient in Python or C++, with experience building scalable data processing systems or evaluation frameworks.
• Ability to solve open-ended technical challenges.
• Excellent communication skills and collaboration in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI agentic workflows that analyze results, identify failures, and surface root causes across large-scale test runs.
• Architect and build scalable simulation pipelines and evaluation frameworks; analyze road test and simulation data for trends and KPIs.
• Identify and reduce sources of divergence between simulation and real-world behavior to improve fidelity.
• Monitor and improve platform performance, scalability, testing, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to reproduce and resolve issues from real-world road tests.
• Help design the long-term architecture of the system.
• Ensure work meets customer requirements, regulatory standards, and quality policies.
