Job summary

Lumen seeks a Senior Lead Marketing Data Platform Architect to define and govern a scalable marketing data platform. You will guide the design and implementation of Databricks-based data products and AI-ready structures that support analytics, personalization, and audience activation.

You will partner with Adobe, Salesforce, analytics, and engineering to ensure secure, scalable data foundations across marketing use cases.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in data engineering or platform architecture.
Deep hands-on experience with Databricks, including Delta Lake and Spark.
Experience designing modern lakehouse architectures and enterprise-scale data platforms.
Advanced data modeling, SQL, and data architecture expertise.
Experience implementing AI-driven data solutions and automation practices.
Strong understanding of metadata management, lineage, observability, and data governance.
Familiarity with Adobe & Salesforce ecosystems (Adobe Experience Platform, Salesforce).
Knowledge of marketing platforms (Marketo, Demandbase, ZoomInfo).

Responsibilities

Own the architectural vision, governance, performance, and long-term evolution of Lumen's marketing data platform.
Lead design, implementation, and operational strategy of Databricks as the platform for marketing data and intelligence.
Define scalable data architectures supporting analytics, reporting, customer intelligence, personalization, and AI-driven use cases.
Establish platform standards for data modeling, ingestion, orchestration, observability, testing, security, and environment promotion.
Design and govern reusable data products providing trusted access to marketing data across the organization.
Drive modernization initiatives to improve scalability, reduce technical debt, and accelerate delivery.
Define governance standards for metadata, lineage, schema control, data quality, and lifecycle management.
Design for AI-native and agentic operations, including automated quality controls and deployment.
Partner with Adobe, Salesforce, analytics, engineering, and business teams for seamless integration.
Evaluate emerging technologies to improve performance and business value.
Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to engineers and stakeholders.
Lead architecture reviews and document decisions for long-term sustainability.
