Job summary

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced in one or more programming language(s).
• Experience leading effective use of enterprise AI-assisted software development tools with ability to validate AI outputs for correctness, performance and security.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and secure data handling.
• Advanced knowledge of cloud, AI/ML, mobile, or related disciplines.
• 8+ years in engineering with Java-based apps in AWS, ECS, EKS, and Postgres.
• Experience building dashboards with Splunk, Dynatrace, or Grafana.
• Experience with multi-region service deployments.

Responsibilities

• Regularly provides technical guidance to business units, contractors, and vendors.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews code written by others.
• Drives AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality, speed, and operations with measurable standards.
• Applies SDLC tools and AI-assisted development capabilities to improve automation and delivery value.
• Drives decisions influencing product design, functionality, and technical operations.
• Serves as a function-wide expert in one or more technical focus areas.
• Contributes to engineering community and firmwide tooling practices for SDLC.
• Influences peers to adopt leading-edge technologies and practices.
• Advocates for diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
• Codes in Java, AWS ECS, EKS, and Postgres.
• Utilizes AI agents to improve quality and timelines.
