Clair is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Core Products team to own features end-to-end, drive AI-native engineering practices, and build scalable, data-driven systems. You will lead product architecture decisions and collaborate with design, product, and data teams to maximize business impact.

The role focuses on building across fintech, embedded finance, and real-time payroll, with opportunities to impact millions of hourly workers’ access to earnings.

Qualifications

• Deep experience building, deploying, and maintaining production-grade applications in cloud-native environments.
• Demonstrated experience leveraging AI-assisted workflows for rapid, high-quality code generation.
• A track record of prioritizing user impact over technical cleverness and holding yourself accountable to business metrics.
• Strong understanding of event-driven architectures and how core transactional systems feed analytical data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Product Ownership: Define technical strategy with design, product, and data teams and evaluate trade-offs before coding.
• Build with AI & Agents: Architect and deploy features using AI models and autonomous agentic workflows.
• System-Wide Architecture: Design resilient systems considering latency, scale, telemetry, and data pipelines.
• Measure Business Impact: Own features post-launch, instrument metrics, monitor dashboards, and iterate.
