Job summary

Cascading AI Inc. in San Francisco seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to own and evolve the core systems behind our AI‑driven lending platform.

You’ll build and maintain cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and observability to help engineers ship quickly and reliably. This hands‑on role involves writing code, debugging distributed systems, and driving reliability, security, and fintech compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, or SRE roles.
• Strong coding skills in Python, Go, TypeScript, or Rust.
• Deep experience with AWS and core services (compute, networking, IAM, databases, storage).
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CDK, Pulumi) and CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, BuildKite).
• Solid understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience building observability stacks with dashboards and telemetry.
• Familiarity with failure modes in distributed systems and recovery strategies.
• Comfortable balancing high-speed delivery with long-term maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure-as-code for cloud resources across AWS and Cloudflare.
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Build and improve observability systems with metrics, logging, tracing, and alerts.
• Develop internal tooling and automation to reduce toil and accelerate workflows.
• Drive reliability improvements: capacity planning, failure analysis, disaster recovery, incident response.
• Collaborate with product engineers to design operational systems from day one.
• Contribute to security and compliance initiatives for fintech environments.
