Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a Senior Compliance Associate to join its Legal team, supporting Marketing, Payments, and Food & Beverage. You will assess compliance risks, develop reporting, and advise on consumer compliance matters, while collaborating across three lines of defense.

The role emphasizes building a culture of compliance, maturing program operations, and partnering with stakeholders to implement regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in compliance, legal, risk management, or internal audit with experience performing compliance risk assessments and/or internal audits.
• In-depth knowledge of consumer compliance laws and regulations applicable to the marketing, financial services or retail industry.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience using AI tools to improve compliance work, such as research, analysis, and documentation, and a willingness to drive adoption across the team. Experience building AI agents or workflows is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Perform and assist with compliance assessments of varying complexities and scope using standard auditing practices, which include developing criteria and transactional testing techniques, reviewing and analyzing data and processes, documenting and preparing workpapers, and compiling reports
• Develop and deliver comprehensive reporting of risk assessment results and compliance risks/trends to internal Nordstrom business partners and Nordstrom legal and compliance departments
• Serve as a compliance subject matter expert across the various programs, advising on consumer compliance requirements for day-to-day activities, projects, and initiatives, identifying and evaluating compliance and operational risks, and strengthening first line compliance knowledge by developing and facilitating training
• Support the team with regulatory and industry research and develop an understanding of current business processes to determine any applicable compliance requirements and/or industry best practices
