Ladders is seeking a Senior AI Developer / Technical Lead to join our client’s team in the Business Services space. You will lead design and delivery of AI and analytics solutions for public sector and regulated environments, and serve as a hands-on technical lead translating goals into direction.

This remote role requires 5+ years in data engineering or software development, a Bachelor’s degree, and the ability to obtain a Federal or DHS Public Trust.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or software development.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams in regulated environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DHS Public Trust.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and delivery of AI and analytics solutions.

For our client, we are seeking a Senior AI Developer / Technical Lead to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space.

This role will lead the design and delivery of AI and analytics solutions that help address complex public sector and regulated-environment challenges. You will serve as a hands-on technical lead, translating client goals into practical technical direction, guiding multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring solutions are built for secure, production use. The position also plays a key role in shaping product roadmaps, advising stakeholders, and evaluating emerging AI technologies for fit and impact.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $118,000 - $196,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of AI and public health analytics solutions
• Translate client objectives into technical requirements and product roadmaps
• Provide hands-on technical leadership to diverse teams of AI professionals
• Act as the primary technical liaison for clients and stakeholders
• Design and develop production-ready AI solutions using modern frameworks
• Establish software engineering and MLOps practices for secure deployment
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies for optimal solution integration

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DHS Public Trust
• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or software development
• Proven leadership in multidisciplinary technical teams with effective communication skills in regulated environments
