Ladders is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, AI Automation to join a leader in the Information Technology space. This remote role focuses on building and operationalizing AI-driven automation to improve internal teams' workflows and decision making, with emphasis on production readiness and measurable quality.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, particularly with LLM-backed applications.
• Strong Python and SQL skills, with experience in production data models.
• Expertise in prompting, tool use, and multi-step workflows for AI systems.
• Experience integrating AI systems with business-critical applications.
• Strong judgment in evaluation methodologies and safety controls for AI deployment.
• Solid fundamentals in production engineering practices including CI/CD and monitoring.

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, AI Automation to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will focus on building and operationalizing AI-driven automation that improves how internal teams work and make decisions. You will help turn complex business processes into dependable software solutions, with an emphasis on production readiness, safety, and measurable quality. The ideal candidate will partner closely with data engineering and cross-functional stakeholders to design trustworthy systems that can be used confidently at scale.

You will also help define the architecture and operating standards for AI systems that move beyond prototypes and into reliable day-to-day use.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $130,000 – $195,000 annually
