Job summary

Optimizely, a leader in marketing technology, is seeking a customer-focused Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to bridge AI innovations with enterprise customers. You will design, build, and deploy AI-driven solutions that integrate with Optimizely's platforms, helping clients harness the power of AI.

Lead deployments, craft custom tools and connectors for AI workflows (RAG) using Opal APIs, and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to deliver scalable, reliable results.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role focused on software deployment and integration.
• Familiarity with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and building tools for RAG workflows.
• Strong prompting principles and best practices for AI outputs.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python for building integration layers via APIs.
• Experience interacting with external systems via public APIs and CRUD operations.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Customer-centric mindset and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to understand AI use cases, data needs, and integrations, translating objectives into technical plans leveraging Optimizely AI (Opal).
• Lead Technical Deployments: Deploy Opal, interacting with Optimizely products via public APIs.
• Develop Custom Tools & Integrations: design and build connectors for AI workflows (RAG) using Optimizely APIs and pre-trained models.
• Troubleshooting & Optimization: troubleshoot, debug, and optimize performance of AI solutions.
• Technical Training & Enablement: conduct workshops and knowledge transfer for customer teams to use Opal.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams.
• Best Practices & Advocacy: apply deployment best practices and align with product capabilities.
