Job summary

AZX is accelerating AI transformation for critical industries. We seek a Forward Deployed Engineer to scope, build, deploy, and measure AI systems inside client environments—utilities, real estate, and logistics.

You’ll own the delivery end‑to‑end, work with DevOps, data pipelines, frontend and backend, and serve as the engineering face of AZX. You’ll bring a strong track record in production-grade LLM/agentic systems, a broad toolkit from OCR to RAG, and comfort deploying under client identity

Qualifications

• 5+ years shipping LLM/agentic systems to production users with structured outputs and eval loops.
• Experience delivering end-to-end, production-grade AI systems in client environments.
• Strong backend and frontend capabilities with end-to-end ownership.

Responsibilities

• Own client delivery end-to-end: discovery to handover.
• Build eval harnesses, replay loops, guardrails, and cost/latency budgets.
• Extract structured facts from documents and implement deterministic checks.
• Optimize pipelines for cost and quality with model or rule changes.
• Design high-stakes systems like after-hours voicemail triage with proper risk boundaries.
• Agree on and document KPIs, baselines, and instrumentation with the client.
• Maintain client-facing engineering presence through demos and POCs.
