Job summary

Lemonade, Inc. is seeking a Senior AI Data Scientist to advance pricing models across Home, Renters, Car, and Pet lines, in multiple countries.

You’ll own projects end-to-end from scoping to production deployment, collaborating with actuarial and product teams in a fast-paced, AI-driven pricing environment. Applicants should bring 2-4+ years of data science experience, strong Python and SQL, and a track record of shipping production-grade work.

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years of practical data science experience.
• Fluency in Python for both software development and model building, plus strong SQL skills.
• Ability to scope and structure technical solutions from ambiguous business problems.
• Proven impact beyond your own deliverables.
• Deep familiarity with the current AI/ML landscape and drive to push its application further.
• Experience in InsurTech or FinTech is a plus.
• Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field preferred—or a Bachelor’s with strong applied data science track record.
• Ability to work in our Soho, NYC office 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Research and apply advanced ML and AI solutions to pricing and underwriting problems, taking projects from concept to production.
• Own projects end-to-end, aligning business strategy with deployment.
• Collaborate with Insurance to develop and monitor predictive models across Home, Renters, Car, and Pet products.
• Mentor junior data scientists and raise technical standards across the team.
• Promote adoption of advanced data science practices throughout the organization.
