U.S. Bank is seeking a highly skilled AI Data Innovation Engineer to join the Data Innovation and Tools Rationalization team within the Enterprise Data Office.

This senior individual contributor will bring hands-on experience building and operationalizing AI-enabled data products, agents, and reusable enablement patterns across modern enterprise data platforms. The role focuses on accelerating AI readiness, establishing safe and scalable patterns, and guiding teams through proven approaches for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of statistical and/or data analytics experience.
• Hands-on experience with Python and SQL.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, and cloud ecosystems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to mentor teams and guide adoption of AI practices.
• Familiarity with data governance, guardrails, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Prototype, validate, and operationalize AI capabilities using govern ed enterprise data products and metadata.
• Develop reusable AI enablement patterns including Snowpark workloads, Cortex AI functions, and retrieval-augmented generation.
• Design conversational data and agent-enabled experiences using Snowflake Cortex Agents and Databricks Genie Spaces.
• Translate experiments into reference architectures, playbooks, and adoption guidance.
• Collaborate with governance, risk, security, and control teams to define AI guardrails and access controls.
• Work with AI Center of Excellence to integrate patterns into enterprise AI experiences.
• Evaluate emerging AI tools and platforms for interoperability and security.
• Design scalable semantic grounding and context-management approaches.
