Job summary

United Airlines is seeking a Senior Developer, IT to lead development of critical contact center applications, with expertise in Conversational AI, IVR, web chat, and cloud-native web platforms.

You will collaborate with technology leads, SMEs, UX designers, and stakeholders to define technical deliveries, drive API integrations, and ensure scalable, secure deployments across cloud environments. Strong Agile leadership and end-to-end testing experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field or 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in design, development, testing and debugging of software in agile environments.
• Experience with Conversational AI, chat/voice bots, IVR.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, execution, and delivery of artifacts/code involving Conversational AI, IVR, chatbot/web chat and cloud-native web apps.
• Drive integration of Voice and Web-based channels with back-end systems, APIs and analytics platforms.
• Champion Agile/Scrum, sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives.
• Lead API integrations between internal platforms, external systems, and cloud services.
• Collaborate with teams to gather integration requirements and translate into scalable solutions.
• Lead unit and integration testing and assist QA with end-to-end testing.
• Stay current with API development best practices and emerging technologies.
• Coordinate with Cloud infra teams to ensure scalable, secure deployments.
• Oversee vendor relationships and third-party integrations when applicable.
• Support and guide the team to remove blockers and maintain momentum.
