Job summary

G2i Inc. is seeking a senior engineer to evaluate AI coding agents without writing production code. This remote, worldwide contract role pays $100–$200/hour for 10–20 hours per week. You will assess how agents interact with developers, focusing on usefulness, reasoning, and engineering judgment.

You'll provide clear, opinionated feedback and help define what good AI-assisted coding looks like. Start as soon as you clear the take-home exercise, with ongoing projects if performance is strong.

Qualifications

• Senior, Staff or Principal-level engineer (or equivalent experience).
• Strong background in TypeScript/JavaScript or Python.
• Hands-on experience with at least one of OpenAI Codex, Claude Code or Cursor.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated coding interactions end to end.
• Judge usefulness, correctness, and alignment with strong engineering judgment.
• Assess explanations and reasoning, not just code.
