Job summary

Publicis Digital Experience seeks a Principal Engineer, AI/ML & Cloud, to serve as the top technical authority for customer-facing AI capabilities and the cloud platform that powers them.

You will define reference architectures for Generative and Agentic AI, set engineering standards, and deliver high-leverage components as a true IC force multiplier across AI/data science and platform teams.

Qualifications

• 13+ years of experience across ML engineering, data engineering, and large-scale distributed systems.
• 3+ years designing and shipping Generative/Agentic AI systems in production.
• Principal-level contributor with architecture ownership and guidance without management.
• Experience with AI platforms including LLMs, RAG, vector stores and retrieval systems.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical architecture for AI platform including data foundations and model serving.
• Define reference architectures, standards, and paved-path patterns for AI and platform teams.
• Make build/buy decisions and document trade-offs for senior leadership.
• Lead design of new AI capabilities for the marketing platform per business strategy.
• Set development environment standards and AI-assisted engineering workflows.
• Collaborate across QA, product, data science to bring features to market.
• Establish monitoring, cost governance, and reliability for production AI systems.
• Guide security, patching strategy, and de-risk platform decisions.
• Create architectural documentation and drive cross-team alignment.
• Lead RCA on complex incidents and assist critical incident resolution.
• Foster knowledge sharing and grow technical maturity of the organization.
