Job summary

UL Solutions seeks a Principal Engineer for Digital AI within Consumer TIC to serve as the global SME for Digital AI technologies. You will drive AI governance, enterprise and cloud AI, predictive and Generative AI, and AI lifecycle assurance across UL Solutions offerings.

You will translate regulatory and customer needs into scalable services, lead technical programs, and influence standards and certifications in rapidly evolving AI domains.

Qualifications

• Must have 15+ years of technical experience in software platforms, cloud systems, AI/ML systems, cybersecurity, risk, model lifecycle management, or digital assurance.
• Direct experience with AI technologies for 5+ years.
• Experience translating AI governance, model risk management, and regulatory requirements into practical evaluation methodologies or services.
• Ability to evaluate and test AI systems for performance, safety, and reliability across multiple domains.
• Knowledge of AI evaluation/testing methods including benchmarking, bias evaluation, and risk mitigation controls.
