Publicis Digital Experience is seeking a Principal Engineer, AI/ML & Cloud to serve as the top technical authority for customer-facing AI capabilities and the cloud platform that powers them. This strategy-and-architecture role defines reference architectures and standards, and delivers the most leverage-heavy components with hands-on mentorship across AI/data science and platform teams.

Qualifications

• 13+ years of experience across ML engineering, data engineering, and large-scale distributed systems.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and shipping Generative/Agentic AI systems in production.
• Experience with AI platforms on hybrid estates (on-prem Oracle and AWS).
• Ability to set technical direction and architecture without direct people management.
• Strong knowledge of MLOps, monitoring, and cost governance for AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical architecture for the AI platform, from data foundations to model serving and agent orchestration.
• Define reference architectures, engineering standards, and paved-path patterns for AI and platform teams.
• Make build/buy decisions for frameworks, vector stores, inference strategy, and cloud services.
• Lead design of new AI capabilities for marketing platform per business strategy.
• Set standards for development environment, tooling, and AI-assisted engineering workflows.
• Collaborate with QA, product, data science, and production support to bring AI features to market.
• Establish monitoring, cost governance, and reliability practices for production AI systems.
• Guide platform strategy for security, upgrades, and policy evolution.
