Job summary

SCAN is seeking an AI & Cloud Architect to define end-to-end reference architectures for AI and data/storage across Azure services and Snowflake. You will design integration blueprints for RAG workflows, data pipelines, and enterprise GPT solutions.

You will build scalable cloud environments for model training and inference, oversee vector databases, and partner with IT Security to ensure HIPAA compliance. A leadership role shaping SCAN's AI roadmap awaits.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Azure ecosystem: Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Services (Language, Vision, Speech, Content Understanding), Azure AI Search, Azure ML, Databricks, Fabric.
• Architectural design & integration: scalable, secure cloud architectures for AI/data workloads.
• Strong understanding of network design, IAM, data governance, and enterprise integration patterns.
• AI engineering foundations: LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, embedding pipelines, evaluation frameworks; RAG and multi-agent apps.
• Data & metadata strategy: data modeling, knowledge graphs, semantic search, data contracts and lineage.
• Responsible AI & compliance mindset: secure, auditable, explainable AI, HIPAA familiarity.
• Collaboration & leadership: influence stakeholders, guide architecture, cross-team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end reference architecture for AI/data/storage across Azure services and Snowflake.

• Build and maintain scalable cloud environments for model training, evaluation, and inference.
• Oversee vector database design and integration with data hubs; ensure high availability and cost optimization.
• Lead governance & reviews, ensure Responsible AI standards and model registry conventions.
